Boulevard Blazer

1978 C-10 Blazer's are becoming hard to find and this fine example, owned and built by Frank Fuller of Kankakee,Il with some help from a couple of friends, Dave Dekoster and Barry Colbert of the Kankakee area is one highly detailed piece.

While observing the body, one might notice this 1978 has had a front clip from a 1991 Chevy Suburban donor installed. Other body mods include shaved door handles, hood bottom and fender wells smoothed out to name a few.

The interior sports a sculptured tweed layout. While the instrument pod and surrounding areas include some unique one-off billet trim (dash inserts and a/c vents) fab'd at our facility. Dakota Digital supplied the gauges. Billet Specialties supplied the half wrapped Talladega steering wheel that was painted the body color.

A 468 Big Block Chevy resides in the engine bay, which provides plenty of "Go Power" for this "Boulevard Blazer". Some innovative detail was administered to this engine compartment. All the lines are polished stainless steel hardline with custom fit bracketry. The wiring has all been hidden. Located on the backside of the custom made 2 piece inner fenders is a wiring center which contains relays, junction blocks and the like for the killer stereo, electric cooling fans, and other accessories.

Another point of interest is the boxed in core support area, which houses a polished aluminum Ron Davis cross flow radiator.
Air Ride mated to custom tubular upper and lower A-arms reside underneath. The brake calipers have been HPC coated and polished and show nicely behind the Billet Specialties Twisted Talladega 17" and 18" wheels.
This contemporary blazer just recently was given a full feature in Street Trucks Magazine. It also was awarded "Grand Champion" at the Springfield,Mo Street Machine Nationals get together and was awarded "Editors Choice" at the Joliet Super Chevy event. Frank is already contemplating changes for this winter and next year's events, so stay tuned for further details.
